Toutes les enchères / Mobilier, Design & Miroirs / Magazine rack - Bamboo, Rattan - Europe (No reserve price)

Vintage bamboo and curved rattan magazine rack – 1960s/70s Elegant vintage bamboo and rattan magazine rack, characterized by a light structure that is particularly decorative, typical of natural-material furnishings diffused in European interiors during the second half of the twentieth century. The frame is made with bamboo canes of different sections, curved elements and thin vertical slats. The various parts are assembled with numerous rattan bindings, clearly visible along the uprights and along the edges. The section intended for magazines features a cradle-shaped curved profile, with two opposing compartments and an open bottom formed by a regular succession of thin curved elements. Also interesting are the sides, decorated with rattan elements bent to form sinuous motifs. The large top handle, integrated into the structure, allows easy movement of the magazine rack and contributes to its distinctive silhouette. The surface retains a warm honey/golden tone, with color variations and a patina developed over time that highlights the nature of the materials. In terms of construction and decorative language, the item can be traced to the bamboo and rattan furniture production of the second half of the 20th century, presumably 1960s-1970s. There are no visible marks that would allow a definite attribution to a producer or to a specific country.
