ATTENTION: American and Canadian bidders, no shipping possible at the moment Please do not bid on this artwork if you are in these two countries. - Title of the work: LIFE IS ART, LIVE YOURS IN COLOR (Life is art, live yours in color) COLLECTION (LEGO STREET ARTWORK) - Presentation of the work: This pop street art piece invites you to see life differently... Dare, create, express your personality and bring color to every moment of your life. Do not let habits, fear, or others’ opinions decide the color of your life. Draft your own path, with your differences, your passions, and your sensibility. Life is art; everyone can choose its color! Even when the world seems to lose its colors, we still have the possibility to imagine, to build, and to give meaning to what surrounds us. And if a few bricks were enough to make us look at the world differently??? We have all, at some point in life, known that freedom of childhood where a few LEGO figures were enough to invent stories, where a construction could become a world and where imagination knew almost no limits. Then time passes. Responsibilities pile up, daily life takes up space, and the outside world can become hard to understand. Carefreeness gradually gives way to concerns. Through this creation, I invite you to pause. To rediscover the child within you, the one who dreamed, invented, and transformed a few pieces into an extraordinary universe. Do not let the world choose your colors. Growing up is not giving up playing; it’s learning to build your world without stopping to dream. This artwork invites you not to traverse life in black and white, but to welcome all its nuances and leave your own mark, that of color! - Artistic realization: by Lyssandre Saint York - Year / 2026 - Limited edition sold - 1/5 UNIT - Certificate of authenticity: Yes + numbered on the back and on the matboard 1/5 + security label with a signature capsule in the artist’s name L. Original Pop Street Art piece to display or hang BIOGRAPHY of THE ARTIST Lyssandre Saint York, Designer and artist born in the 1970s. My artistic work sits at the crossroads of two worlds that fascinate me: the raw energy of street art and the visual efficiency of pop art. I grew up during the rise of the “seventies” style and Space Age design, a era of rupture where furniture rejected pre-war sobriety to dare organic shapes, plastic, and vibrant colors. Raised by this bold aesthetic, I naturally first pursued design and fashion, conceiving and selling concepts worldwide for more than 30 years to this day. This mastery of structure and visual impact later unfolds in my artistic creations. My journey as an artist began with the prism of play, composing my first works in LEGO bricks under a frame. This artistic approach allowed me to revisit the icons of pop culture. From Star Wars heroes to indispensable figures like Mario Bros, Mickey, or the emblematic Scrooge McDuck, mixing symbols of luxury brands with these LEGO characters, icons of an entire generation! I have always loved appropriating these symbols to give them a new dimension. This work naturally extended to the creation of sculptures with the rebellious graffiti environment of Banksy, or iconic Art Toy characters. Deconstructing these sculptures and these iconic figures, I play with contrasts to question our desires and our consumption-driven society. This conceptual rigor dialogues with the absolute freedom of urban culture. Markers, spray cans, stencils, paint, drips, and textured overlays, but also with techniques I combine with the chromatic power of pop art. My works have thus become a visual collision where the anticonformist design of the 70s meets luxury, aligning with the spontaneity and subversiveness of the street. By juxtaposing and reinventing these iconic symbols into an aesthetic that is graphic and instinctive, I offer a nostalgic yet double-entendre, impactful, and distinctly contemporary reading of our era with societal themes and minimalist conceptual illustration. From Paris to New York, via Taiwan or even Australia, my works travel the world thanks to you, and I thank you for that.
