Lot of 20 stereoscopic photos with binder - 1934-1936 - Pornichet

Set of 20 stereoscopic photos on glass 6 x 13 cm – Pornichet – 1934-1936 – Storage binder Superb set of 20 original stereoscopic photographs on glass, format 6 x 13 cm, dated 1934 to 1936, kept in their original storage binder with handwritten inventory sheet. This documentary series offers a vivid and warm testimony of seaside holidays in Pornichet during the 1930s. The shots immortalize life on the beach and seaside leisure: swimming, play in the waves and family or friends relaxing on the sand. The donkey-drawn car ride along the beach and groups under large parasols. Sandy sculpture contests with a windmill, a relief figure, the Welcome villa or the Laval viaduct shaped in the sand. Unusual and costumed scenes such as the group of Asians/Japanese at the Welcome villa. The lot also includes views of architecture, interiors and the “Welcome” villa: Avenue Collet and the Welcome Villa. Intimate indoor life scenes in the Welcome villa living room and dining room in the evening. Backlit views at day’s end by the sea and with a caravan on the beach. A distinctive element of the lot: among the glass plates there are two color plates (notably the Welcome Villa and the costumed group scene with lanterns/parasols). These two original color plates are photos on flexible film glued to a glass plate. The details on the accompanying handwritten inventory sheet allow precise identification of the 20 plates: The beach M. Fournier legs in the air (1934) Bathing M.
