LOT OF (14) 19TH CENTURY CDV & CABINET BLACK AND WHITE PHOTOGRAPHS The first four of these images are Wild West related. All photographs are measured for actual image and do not account for the mountings. All are on heavy cardboard mounts. A. 6x8 1/4" This fantastic photograph is of the apparent photographer setting up a studio shot for two cowboys. One is shown prominently holding a deluxe Winchester Model 1876 while his seated friend is holding what appears to be a Winchester Model 1886 with double set triggers. B. 4 1/2 x 6" is a Bailey, Dix & Mead Fort Randall Dakota Territory cabinet card. This is listed as card no. 7 in a series of 24, all of which are listed on the back. Image is of One Bull , chief of the Sioux, nephew of Sitting Bull, listed as 27 years old having been born in 1853 dating this photo to about 1880. Card talks about his capture. C. 7x5 image of a cowboy and his horse next to his dead bear. He is holding a Winchester Model 1873. D. 5x6 1/2" The last western related image is of a cowboy on his horse, wearing a holstered revolver and chaps. The next four images are interesting subject matter. One measures 7 1/2 x 10". All of the men are wearing what appear to be heavy buffalo coats and soft caps, maybe loggers but no guns or tools in picture. Next is a 6x8 image of a long line of unsaddled horses in front of stalls with Indian War era dressed soldiers, one of which is perched atop of an old large front wheel bicycle. Next, there is a 4 1/2 x 7 1/2" image of Indian Wars era soldiers with two men posed for boxing. Taken at Fort Crook Nebraska by McKay of Omaha. Lastly, a 4x6" image by Shepard of Great Bend Nebraska of five farmers or ranch hands with a baby. The last six images are basically post card in size, all of military dressed men of which only one is armed with revolver and sword. All of the images are in fine condition.
