Liturgical Group - Textile

Beautiful liturgical Marian cope. This liturgical garment is a Roman cope (also known as a pianeta), executed in a light blue (Marian) color with gold galloon and cross motifs in brocade. This specific type of cope has the characteristic stiff bascule—or 'violin-case'—shape that is commonly used in the traditional Latin Rite of the Catholic Church. The atelier Laboratorio Gruppo Liturgico is a renowned Italian producer specialized in this type of high-quality paraments and ecclesiastical textile art. The combination of blue and gold traditionally refers to Marian devotion and makes the garment especially suitable for Marian feasts, votive Masses, or other solemn celebrations. The overall condition is neat and lightly used. A decorative and liturgically valuable vestment for use in the liturgy, a collection of religious art, or church heritage. The lot is carefully packaged and sent by registered mail. Photos accompany this description.
