Limburg Glashütte - Pendant ceiling lamp - L.4231 - Glass

Great original Glashütte Limburg pendant light model L.4231 from the mid-1970s, manufactured in West Germany. The conically shaped shade consists of solid, hand-blown opal glass with fine, melted-in air bubbles. The glass produces, when lit, a warm, evenly diffused light with characteristic depth. Inside there is an inner brass cylinder that holds the socket and further concentrates the light. This construction is typical for high-quality Limburg models of that era. The light features the original spiral cord and pull mechanism for height adjustment. The suspension is adjustable from about 30 cm to about 120 cm. Glass height: about 35 cm Diameter: about 40 cm Socket: E27 (up to 100W) Condition: Very good for its age. At the upper glass edge there is a small chip. This is not visible when mounted. No cracks or stress fractures. The spiral and brass elements are original. Nameplate inside present. A classic architectural pendant light from the 1970s - ideal above dining tables, round tables, or in older buildings with higher ceilings.
