Leica APO-Macro-Elmarit-R 100mm f/2.8 Macro lens

Leica APO-Macro-Elmarit-R 100mm f/2.8 – Macro lens for Leica R The Leica APO-Macro-Elmarit-R 100mm f/2.8 represents one of the most refined macro optics ever made by Leica for the R system. Designed and built in Germany, it is valued for its extraordinary apochromatic correction, the exceptional sharpness even wide open, and the extremely faithful color rendition—features that have made it a benchmark in macro photography as well as in high-level portraiture. The unit offered here is in excellent aesthetic and functional condition. The barrel retains a uniform finish with normal and very light signs of use compatible with careful handling, while the focus and aperture rings glide smoothly and precisely, offering the mechanical quality typical of Leica production. The lenses are clean and transparent, free from noticeable scratches, fungus, or hazing visible in the photographs. The Leica R mount is in excellent condition and guarantees proper mating with the camera body. The lens is equipped with the integrated telescopic lens hood, an elegant and practical solution that reduces bulk during transport, and is supplied with the original Leica front and rear caps. With a minimum focusing distance of 0.7 meters, the Macro-Elmarit-R achieves a reproduction ratio of 1:2, extendable to 1:1 with the dedicated Leica accessory. The 100 mm focal length also enables pleasant perspective compression and soft, natural background blur, making it an extremely versatile lens for portraiture and detail photography as well.
