Antique wooden large-format camera, probably dating from the end of the 19th century or the early 20th century. size: 160 cm high - 62 cm wide, 62 cm deep. there is no brand on the lens, only the adjustable aperture: f/7.7 to f/62 the size of the glass (negative) is about 16x16. Shipping not possible. Pickup only in Grobbendonk, Belgium. Manufactured in Europe during the late 19th to early 20th century (c. 1890–1920), this large format mahogany studio camera (Atelierkamera) represents the cornerstone of early professional portrait photography. Built with solid dark mahogany cabinetry, heavy brass rack-and-pinion hardware, and square dark leather bellows, the camera is mounted on its dedicated height-adjustable wooden floor stand. Equipped with a large-aperture brass portrait lens (utilizing a Petzval or Rapid Rectilinear optical arrangement), the system produces soft background transition and crisp central optical resolution across large glass plate formats (measuring up to approx. 16x16 cm). When unmounted from the vintage lens board, the brass lens assembly can be integrated into modern digital mirrorless or medium/large-format systems (such as Fujifilm GFX or mirrorless bench setups)
