Large and luminous fluorescent scapolite crystal

When polished and prepared for jewelry, Scapolite is as beautiful as many of the more commonly known gemstones. Early specimens may exhibit a tiger’s-eye pattern, creating a starry display. It is found among other calcium-rich rocks such as marble. Although these minerals are widespread, gem-quality specimens are rare.
