Lapis-lazuli – Luminous Rosary – Cross of the Glorious...

Lapis lazuli – Luminous Rosary – Cross of the Glorious Christ – Between Heaven and Night, the Divine Light This rosary stands out for the harmony of its lapis-lazuli stones, paired with bright golden elements and a richly worked cross representing the glorious Christ. It is composed of 60 round lapis-lazuli beads, carefully polished, revealing deep nuances of ultramarine blue, royal blue, and night blue, punctuated by grayish veining and natural variations that give each stone its unique character. The assembly is enhanced with small golden beads and oval relief medals, adorned with Christian crosses on a finely striated background. Their regular arrangement adds a lovely decorative richness to the rosary and emphasizes its religious nature. At the center of this composition sits a golden cross, with geometric outlines and elaborately worked relief decorations. It represents the glorious Christ, crowned and clothed in a long draped tunic, with arms wide open in an attitude of welcome and blessing. Unlike traditional crucifixion depictions where Christ appears suffering, this iconography highlights His divine and triumphant dimension. The rays spreading behind His silhouette evoke heavenly light, while the ornaments arranged at the extremities enrich the sacred dimension of the composition. In Christian tradition, the glorious Christ symbolizes the victory of life over death, the fulfillment of the promise of Salvation, and the hope of the Resurrection.
