Labelled Joseph Hornsteiner - - Violin - Germany (No reserve price)

Interesting 4/4 violin with back, neck 35.7 cm; some repaired cracks in the top plate, no open cracks present. The violin needs repairs to be ready to play. Patina, signs of wear, scratches, repaired cracks are present. A label refers to Josef Hornsteiner Mittenwald. The violin feels light, with a brown-reddish varnish. I wish you good luck with the restoration and, later, much joy in playing music.
