La Coste, Texas. $20 1902 Date Back. Fr. 646. La Coste NB. Charter #10189. PCGS Banknote Very Fine 30. A mid-grade note in technical terms that is without a doubt a stunner that offers much that can be appreciated. This mid-grade Series of 1902 $20 Date Back issued by the La Coste National Bank (Charter# 10189) is the picture perfect image of what it means to be an "honest survivor" in a numismatic context. Here bidders and collectors may appreciate elements such as a paper body that evokes the day this note circulated for the last time during the 1910s and superb signatures attributable to Cashier H.C. Heilig and President Joseph Courand which together cut a fine impression that's impossible to overlook. Held together with the fact that only 14 non-institutional notes are recorded on this Medina County-based bank, it takes little to reason that this lot has the makings of a note that may very well exceed our estimate after inspiring a noted degree of competition among bidders. Estimate: $1,000 - $1,500. Provenance: From the Jack Copeland Currency Collection, Part IV. Click here for certification details from PCGS Banknote.

Estimation:€534.9
