The footage shows an official military ceremony with Belgian soldiers and a flag on which the historical mentions are clearly visible: ITALY – YUGOSLAVIA – WALCHEREN These mentions correspond to the historical combat mentions of the Belgian Commando Regiment. The footage is contextualized, based on its historical context, with the Belgian military presence and the first Congo trips of the T.N.A. Kamina (AP957) in 1953. The Kamina was used during this period for transporting Belgian para-commandos to Belgian Congo. Historical sources state that the Kamina departed Zeebrugge on 15 April 1953 for its first Congo trip with a detachment of Belgian para-commandos. Among those present at the ceremony were Prince Albert and other Belgian dignitaries.
