Kiri Aguilera (1982) - XL - Sinfonía Floral y Felina

Kiri Aguilera (1982) is a Cuban-born artist, currently based in Spain, whose work is distinguished by a sophisticated visual language where contemporary abstraction, poetic figuration, and gestural expressiveness converge. Trained in professional art schools, her career reveals a solid academic foundation evident in mastery of drawing, composition, and the spatial construction of the canvas. On this technical framework, the artist has developed a distinctive, deeply recognizable style in which line takes on a leading role as a rhythm, tension, and visual narrative element. Her acrylic-on-canvas production, entirely handmade, stands out for its vibrant chromatic richness and the presence of carefully balanced painterly layers. Color, far from merely ornamental, acts as an emotional vehicle that transforms each work into a sensory, high-impact experience. Within her thematic universe, feminine figures, floral compositions, and stylized representations of animals stand out, elements that the artist reinterprets through a language that oscillates between abstract synthesis and suggested figuration. Her large-format works — usually exceeding 100 cm — are conceived for spaces with a strong aesthetic presence, creating a direct relationship with interior architecture and becoming authentic focal points within the environment. The subtlety of the stroke, the elegance of the lines, and the intensity of the color contribute to each piece a contemporary visual identity that is highly decorative, without losing conceptual depth or artistic value. Kiri Aguilera’s work is especially attractive to collectors and connoisseurs of contemporary art seeking original pieces with strong visual presence, impeccable technique, and a distinctive aesthetic. Each canvas conveys a refined sensibility, where gestural energy coexists with compositional harmony, generating works of great sophistication, ideal for both private collections and curatorial spaces, and high-end interior design projects. This acrylic painting on canvas is a vibrant neo-figurative portrait that fuses synthetic cubism with the expressive energy of pop art and stained glass art. The composition centers on the stylized face of a woman with expressive blue eyes cradling her cat, surrounded by a botanical backdrop of vivid flowers and foliage. The piece’s structure is marked by bold black contour lines that fragment the surface into dynamic planes, while the color palette explores an intense saturation where bright yellow, cobalt blue, turquoise, crimson, and pastel nuances converge. The balance between the warmth of domestic subject matter and the geometric character of the scene gives the work a cheerful, sophisticated atmosphere with strong decorative appeal.
