Kerosene lamp - ouraline

Old kerosene lamp in uraline glass from Czechoslovakia – Lorraine crystal chimney engraved CL – Elegant wrought-metal base Description Magnificent antique kerosene lamp, particularly decorative, combining a beautiful original Czech-made uraline glass reservoir, a Lorraine crystal chimney, and an elegant wrought-metal base with repoussé decoration. The uraline reservoir The reservoir is made of molded glass with geometric motifs, displaying magnificent reflections and great clarity. It bears the inscription “Czechoslovakia.” Its remarkable feature is its fluorescence: under ultraviolet (UV) light, the glass glows with an intense, spectacular green, characteristic of uraline glass containing uranium. The Lorraine crystal chimney The lamp is equipped with a tall glass chimney bearing an engraving depicting a cross accompanied by the initials CL, attributed to Cristal de Lorraine. This chimney is a particularly interesting element of the set, especially thanks to its still-visible mark. The burner and the base The antique burner features an elegant pierced metal gallery and a functional adjustment knob, adorned with a floral motif. The slender base, made of tin or silver-plated metal (exact composition undetermined), rests on a circular, richly decorated base with raised floral and geometric motifs. The metal patina testifies to its age and adds a great deal of charm. Condition Good overall presentation, with signs of age and use visible on the metal parts. The lamp is presented in its current condition, with no announced restoration. The photographs are an integral part of the description and allow appreciation of the details, the engravings, and the exceptional fluorescence of the reservoir. ABeautiful collectible piece This lamp will appeal to lovers of antique lighting, Czech glassware, Lorraine crystal, and uraline fluorescent glass. A decorative, characterful object that combines the charm of antique kerosene lamps with the fascinating beauty of fluorescent glass under UV light. Particularly careful packaging, with individual protection for fragile elements for shipping and insurance.
