Kenneth Denton Shoesmith - Canadian Pacific – Beautiful...

Magnificent tourist manifesto dedicated to Lake Louise, famous spot in the Canadian Rocky Mountains, produced for the historic company Canadian Pacific. Note: This is a later edition probably from the 1970s. The refined composition, signed in the matrix by the illustrator Kenneth Shoesmith, shows the enchanting panorama of the lake as seen through the large window of an elegant hotel. In the foreground a couple contemplates the landscape, while a knight crosses the shore framed by the majestic snow-capped mountains. The scene is embellished by spectacular Art Deco tents, with intense colors and golden details, capable of conveying all the charm of great international travel and luxury tourism. The inscription “Canadian Pacific” and the call-to-action “Beautiful Lake Louise in the Canadian Rockies” make this splendid promotional image immediately recognizable. A rare, elegant and strongly decorative poster, particularly interesting for collectors of advertising graphics, travel, railways, Canada and vintage travel posters. It presents slight waviness, small creases and normal signs of aging, clearly documented in the photographs. !!!
