This impressive hand-knotted designer rug in Kazak style from Pakistan combines traditional Oriental design with an exceptionally harmonious color scheme. With its generous size of approximately 430 × 312 cm, it is particularly suitable for large living and dining areas as well as representative rooms. The deeply resonant petrol and blue-green of the field form the base for a multitude of artfully arranged geometric and floral motifs. Large medallions in terracotta, turquoise, ochre, beige and green alternate with stylized plant shapes and smaller decorative motifs. The symmetrical arrangement ensures an balanced overall image despite the high level of detail. The multi-part border is especially elaborate.
