Kazak - Carpet - 200 cm - 128 cm - Kazak Oriental rug

Three large, vertically stacked medallions define this hand-knotted Kazak Oriental rug. Their central diamonds are framed by striking hook ornaments. The bright red of the inner field combines with dark blue, blue-gray, cream, and muted green. Small square pattern fields with flowing ornaments surround the medallions, giving the surface a clear structure. A broad cream-colored border with aligned diamonds frames the inner field. Dark accompanying bands echo the geometric shapes and add additional contrasts. The recurring colors link the small edge motifs with the large medallions to form a balanced overall image. Pile and foundation weave are made of wool. With dimensions of 200 × 128 cm, the rug is suitable for a smaller seating area, a reading corner, or a spot beside the bed. Light upholstered furniture allow the bold colors to shine. Cushions in blue or muted green pick up the details of the medallions, while warm wooden furniture complement the red base tone.
