Katarzyna “Kasia” Blekiewic (1972) - Composition H

Katarzyna “Kasia” Blekiewicz (born in 1972 in Gdańsk, Poland) is a contemporary artist who studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. In 1999 she earned her degree in the studio class of professor Maciej Świeszewski. As early as 2000 her work drew international attention, with a solo exhibition at the Consulate General of Poland in Strasbourg. Since then she has collaborated with galleries at home and abroad, including Monkdogz Urban Art Gallery in New York. Style and themes Blekiewicz primarily paints with acrylic on canvas, in formats ranging from 80 to 110 cm. Her works, such as Aquarius, Agate, or the Tree of Life, are a synthesis of nature and imagination. She draws inspiration from flora and fauna, but transforms them into symbols, signs and abstract forms. Instead of imitating reality, she invites the viewer to interpretation and reflection. The symbolism in her work draws from nature, religion and ancient cultures – and forms a visual poetry that evokes universal emotions. International recognition Her artworks have been exhibited in Poland, France, the United States, Australia and other parts of Europe. They are in private collections around the world, including in the Netherlands, Germany, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Austria and the US. SHIPPING MAY BE DISCUSSED AFTER THE AUCTIO
