Karl Baedeker - Greece - 1909

The most collectible antique Baedeker guide to Greece. It is the last edition that describes Greece with the 1909 borders, prior to the Balkan Wars. Complete edition with all the cartographic material advertised on the cover: with maps, plans, diagrams, and a panorama of Athens. Good condition for its 116 years. Light wear to the cloth, wear at the head and tail of the spine (see photos), rubbed corners. With its original ribbon bookmark. Paper with an aged tone and some foxing spots, typical of 1909. Solid block, no loose pages. The maps are clean, without significant tears, folds intact. Language: English. An essential book for Baedeker collectors, for Greece, for travelers and for antique cartography. Very hard to find complete with all maps and the panorama.
