Instagram: @artearayas SEED · Nascens Natura Seed belongs to "Nascens Natura", a sculptural line in which Juan Carlos Rayas investigates the forms and growth processes present in nature. Inspired by the pods and seeds of the vegetal world, the work explores the origin of life and its capacity for regeneration. Its organic shapes evoke a protective shell that harbors the potential for a new beginning, establishing a dialogue between fertility, shelter, and rebirth. Carved directly in Iberian travertine marble, the sculpture makes use of the stone’s warm tones, veins, and natural cavities, creating a contrast between the material’s permanence and the fragility of life it represents. conceived as a wall sculpture, its vertical silhouette and sinuous volumes create a play of light and shadow that reinforces its organic character. Seed is an original and unique work, conceived and entirely handmade by Juan Carlos Rayas through direct carving. There are no reproductions or other copies of this piece.
