Joseph Beuys (1921-1986) - Filzpostkarte

A tactile capsule of energy and warmth, this legendary "Filzpostkarte" by Joseph Beuys transforms a simple postal item into a dense monument of conceptual art. The thick, raw felt catches the light while isolating space, physicalizing the artist's radical belief in materials as vehicles for spiritual healing and protection. Conceived in 1985 and published by Edition Staeck as an open multiple, this screen-printed object embodies the democratic ideal of the Fluxus movement, making avant-garde art accessible to everyone. This specific piece features the post-1993 five-digit postal code address on the lower left, representing a beautifully preserved official edition from the publisher's subsequent printing runs. *Please note that the postcard will be sent unframed.* Artist: Joseph Beuys Publisher: Edition Staeck Origin: Heidelberg, Germany Period: Conceived in 1985 , Printed post 1993 Material: Natural grey felt, white silkscreen ink typography Format: Single rectangular felt multiple postcard Condition: Excellent vintage condition, crisp white text imprint, firm edges, clean surfaces, no structural thinning or loss of fiber structure Dimensions: • Height: 10.5 cm • Width: 15 cm • Thickness: 0.9 cm References "Joseph Beuys: The Multiples.
