Jos van Dijk (1913-1998) - Boerderij in de polder

A nice work by this painter and in good condition; I may say that the panel is in very good condition. It is set, as you can see, in a monumental frame that fits well with this work. The panel measures 30x24 cm. Johannes (Jos) van Dijk was a Dutch artist and was born in Bolsward. He worked, among other places, in Amsterdam. He was a pupil of H.A. van der Wal (Amsterdam), of the Rijksnormaalschool for Drawing Teachers, and of the Rijksakademie in Amsterdam. He painted, drew, and etched figures, portraits, harbor views, landscapes, and many farmyards. Jos van Dijk may also have worked under the pseudonym 'Wim van Norden'.
