Jörg Immendorff (1945–2007) - Energie

Jörg Immendorff – "Energy", 2003 – 16/50 Jörg Immendorff (1945–2007) "Energy", 2003 Large-format, signed and numbered screen print by Jörg Immendorff from 2003. The impressive motif shows a luminous red, coral-like structure against a light blue background. Above stands a gold-colored, classically styled figure on two staffs; flanked by two dark, organically shaped forms. The work combines mythological and symbolic elements with Immendorff’s characteristic, strongly restrained and color‑intense imagery. The motif emerged in connection with Immendorff’s design of the monumental glass window "Energy" for the Messe Essen in 2003. The glass art window created by Immendorff remains on the Messegelände Essen to this day. Catawiki The present sheet comes from a limited edition of 50 copies and bears the number 16/50.
