Joan Vizcarra - Goofy as Elvis Presley "The King of...

• Hand Signed by the Artist • Unique Original Artwork • Large 50 x 35 cm Format • Certificate of Authenticity Included • Ready to Frame Ladies and gentlemen… Goofy has not left the building! In this explosive original by Joan Vizcarra, Goofy becomes the one and only King of Rock'n'Roll. Gleaming quiff, white studded jumpsuit with a high collar, guitar slung across his chest and microphone in hand, he strikes the classic Elvis stage pose, legs wide apart, with all the swagger of the legendary 1970s Las Vegas shows. And yet it is unmistakably Goofy: the buck teeth, the tongue sticking out with delight and that wonderfully confident expression of someone who truly believes he is the King. Under the huge golden ELVIS lettering, set against a vibrant purple background, the piece has all the impact of a vintage concert poster. Painted in gouache with Vizcarra's energetic, expressive line, the work stands out for its bold colour contrasts and the careful detail of the costume, the guitar and the microphone stand. A must for Disney collectors and Elvis fans alike.
