Toutes les enchères / Autres / Jean B. Ajmone (XIX-XX) - Dimora nella Landa
An extraordinary discovery, of institutional caliber, for collectors of European post-impressionism of the 20th century. This magnificent oil on panel painting, with rich texture, is the officially documented work of the academic master Jean B. Ajmone (Jean Baptiste Ajmone), titled "Dimora nella terra". The painting represents a pastoral realism masterpiece, depicting a serene landscape with cows grazing near a country house under a wide and evocative sky. Ajmone's technique is based on rich painterly brushstrokes that masterfully model the ground, vegetation, and moving clouds. On the back, the work presents its authentic and complete documentation: the original gallery/historical exhibition label of the "Mostra d'Arte Italiana" (Lot no. 55), handwritten and annotated with the official title and dimensions (0,30 x 0,15 cm). Housed in a heavy carved black antique wooden frame in a museum style with oval-shaped raised borders, this is a fully documented investment piece, ready for elite collections. Title: "Dimora nella landa" (historic title). Medium: oil on panel. Period: first half of the 20th century (circa 1920-1940). Provenance: private collection / official participant in the "Mostra d'Arte Italiana" (exhibition label on the back). Signature: Signed on the back on the official exhibition label ("Jean B. Ajmone" / "Dimora nella landa"). Epoch: 20th century / 1920 - 1940. Condition: Excellent / Very good (The panel is structurally perfect, the colors are fresh and healthy. Ajmone (Giovanni Battista Ajmone) was a renowned Italian academic painter, active between the early and mid-20th century. Known for his rigorous technique and participation in official national exhibitions, Ajmone specialized in pastoral post-impressionist landscapes. His particular use of thick layers of pigment (heavy impasto) allows him to model light and earth with exceptional texture. This documented masterpiece, "Dimora nella Landa", perfectly embodies his distinctive style and academic training, as attested by the participation certificate to the original exhibition kept on the back. Painting size cm. 14 x cm. 29. The lot will be adequately packaged and shipped with contracted couriers and online tracking. For this lot, shipments outside the European Community are not performed.
