JAPANESE WAKIZASHI SHORT SWORD

Edo period, ca. AD 1603 - 1868 > A Japanese wakizashi in a mounted scabbard, with a cord-bound grip, rounded tsuba and dark decorated saya. Metal fittings articulate the hilt and scabbard mouth.
