designed in 1968 for the XIX Summer Olympic Games held in Mexico, the 'Type B' model torch constructed from cast aluminium with a black-vinyl-wrapped handle, with original box, 11cm diameter, 45cm high, Condition Report, Condition Report, Overall the torch appears in mostly good order for its age. With some scuffs, scratches and surface marks commensurate with use. With pitting and casting marks commensurate with manufacture. The vinyl to the handle has started to lift to the bottom and would benefit from regluing. The box with some dents, knocks and general signs of wear throughout commensurate with use and age.
