Read after the description the SHIPPING RULES as there are EXCLUDED ZONES. An extraordinary journey through the history of the Italian Republic via one of the collections most loved by Italian numismatists. Put up for auction is an important complete collection “La Lira Italiana” Masterphil, from 1948 to 1999, carefully preserved in its original album and composed of hundreds of coins that tell over half a century of Italian monetary history. The lot includes the iconic issues of the Republic: 1, 2, 5 and 10 Lire from the historical post-war years, the famous coins “Spiga”, “Delfino”, “Olivo”, the commemoratives, the bi-metallic issues and the fascinating 500 Lire in silver, among the most loved and sought-after coins in the Italian numismatic scene. The collection’s absolute strong point are the very rare: 5 Lire 1956 and 2 Lire 1958, the latter in extremely fine condition, both encapsulated. 1 Lira 1950 FDC, 50 Lire 1958 BB, 5 Lire 1989 with inverted prow FDC, 5 Lire 1969 with inverted 1 FDC, all encapsulated. present in conservations of absolute collecting interest and photographed in detail with high-quality macro images, including edge, obverse and reverse. From a conservation standpoint, the collection stands out for its high and homogeneous quality: all coins from 1968 to 1999 are FDC, coming from official divisional sets; ear-pristine pieces from earlier years (BB / SPL). The 500 Lire in silver are true icons of Italian coinage: the famous 500 Lire “Caravelle”, the 500 Lire Centenario, the 500 Lire Dante, the 1000 Lire Roma Capitale, all testimonies of significant cultural and historical moments of the country. (total 10 x 500 Lire + 1 x 1000) The original Masterphil album, complete and well structured, magnificently enhances the collection and conveys the feeling of a collection built with passion over time. A lot with strong visual and historical impact, ideal for: - collectors of the Italian Republic; - numismatic investors; - enthusiasts of the Lira; - or as an important base for an advanced-level collection.
