G. Cantelli da Vignola/ G. de Rossi, Bassa Lombardia. Rome, 1681. The map depicts with great accuracy the Po Valley and surrounding territories. It was drawn by the leading Italian cartographer Giacomo Cantelli da Vignola (geographer to the Duke of Modena) and engraved by the skilled master-engraver Giorgio Widman. It was published in Rome by the renowned publisher Giovanni Giacomo de Rossi for the celebrated atlas Mercurio Geografico. Dimensions: 41,5 x 57 cm (engraving), 44,5 x 59,7 cm (paper). Reasonable condition, middle part with restored imperfections. See photo's for better impression.
