Italian chef with a chalkboard for the menu - Advertising...

Vintage advertising sign - statue of a chef / Cook with Menu Blackboard - H 78 cm Splendid and iconic three-dimensional advertising statue depicting a friendly and expressive Chef/Cook, complete with a blackboard panel for displaying the menu or promotional messages. This iconic decorative and mid-century modern item, dating from the late 20th century (80s/90s), was originally used as a visual merchandising display at the entrance of bistros, trattorias and typical restaurants to welcome customers and present the day’s specialties. The sculpture features excellent details made and painted by hand: from the classic tall chef’s hat, to the bright red jacket with raised buttons, up to the neckerchief and beige apron. The statue rests on a solid integrated terracotta-colored base, which guarantees stability and ease of positioning both on the floor and on counters or shelves. A nostalgic piece perfect for collectors of vintage advertising miscellany, lovers of vintage and mid-century modern, or ideal as an original decorative element for kitchens, taverns, bars and commercial venues with a retro taste. The item presents in excellent overall condition, with colors still vivid and bright. Minor and normal signs of wear due to age, which attest to its authenticity and do not compromise its aesthetics or stability. Please view the photo gallery carefully for details.
