Italfama Firenze - Chess set - Napoleon Medium Set –...

Interesting complete set of 32 figurative chess pieces Italfama Florence, Napoleon Medium Set 19-92, Italian production dedicated to the Napoleonic era. The pieces are made of solid metal and are divided into the two sides by gold and silver finishes. The modeling of the figures is particularly rich: Napoleon Bonaparte, Josephine, officers, soldiers in uniform, mounted knights and rooks, all characterized by relief details. The bases are decorated with the characteristic Napoleonic “N” surrounded by ornamental motifs. At the bottom of many pieces the original red Italfama label – Made in Italy – is still present. The set also retains its original era box, recognizable by the distinctive Florentine lily and the label “92-M – Small Napoleon – Solid Metal – Made in Italy”. A scenographic and typically Italian set, interesting not only as a chess game but also as a collectible and display piece, particularly suitable for enthusiasts of Napoleonic history and figurative chess. The 32 pieces are complete and in good vintage condition, with normal signs of aging. The original box shows age-related marks, wear and small imperfections due to storage, as clearly visible in the photographs.
