Reference: SNG Kayhan 395-6, otherwise unpublished. Rare. Magnesia ad Maeandrum stood inland from the Ionian coast, near the fertile Maeander valley. Its position connected coastal cities with the Anatolian interior, while its coinage celebrated local cults and the city’s enduring Greek identity.
