Wonderful pendant light signed by Ingo Maurer, the well-known entrepreneur, who recently passed away, and designer of the famous German company of the same name. All the lamps created by this Master are wonderful; The Fisherman’s Tears is among the most appreciated for its originality; he drew inspiration for it from a trip to Venice, and he himself recounted, "35 years ago on the waters of the Venice Lagoon I admired the fishermen’s nets covered with countless drops of water. Observing the reflections in the morning light, they seemed to me the tears of the fishermen." The lamp is made from three nylon nets of different sizes, 385 crystals, and the whole ensemble is illuminated by a bulb, Ø 11 cm, which is mounted to the wall separately. Thanks to the light projected onto the composition, the room fills with reflections that evoke water droplets; it is wonderful how Ingo Maurer is able to give the same emotions he felt on his trip to all the people who admire this extraordinary lamp today.
