Elegant sunburst mirror in gilded lead, attributed to Irena Jaworska, associate creator in Line Vautrin's decorative universe, France, circa 1960. The composition is particularly expressive: a succession of irregular, deeply molded rays surrounds the central mirror, creating a striking play of light and relief. An inner crown punctuated with small green elements adds a discreet and precious touch of color to the whole. The metalwork, deliberately textured, as well as the patinated gilding give this piece a highly sculptural presence. The artisanal character of the execution, the irregularities of the modeling and the natural patina reinforce its aesthetic typical of French decorative arts of the second half of the 20th century.
