Toutes les enchères / Ethnographie / Impressive block of fossil cephalopods
A composition of cephalopod mollusks dating from about 60-70 million years ago, when the terrible impact of an asteroid on Earth decreed the end of the Cretaceous–Paleogene period. The natural scenario that followed marked the end of many terrestrial beings but also fully involved the entire marine ecosystem. The devastating impact of the asteroid on Earth had among its most terrible consequences also the formation of numerous unusual waves that gathered on beaches and among the rocks shells of cephalopod mollusks. Looking at this composition one cannot help but be fascinated by the distinctive iridescent purple color. Suggestive. A true sculpture, to be observed from every angle and capable of eliciting unique emotions and impressions. A timeless design piece that will never go unnoticed, an object that will make any wunderkammer unique… an auction absolutely worth winning. A necessary clarifying note. The final image in our photographic gallery is produced with the help of AI software. The aim is purely aesthetic yet at the same time exemplary: it shows the real object within an artificially generated setting. The goal is to show how precious the items in the auction are and how well they look in different, all exceedingly refined environments. Thank you for your attention. Happy bidding.
