Impressive 27 cm Early Cretaceous Fossil Fish with Solid...

An impressive and exceptionally well-preserved specimen of †Jinanichthys longicephalus from the Early Cretaceous of China, measuring approximately 27 cm in length. This remarkable fossil features a distinctive elongated skull, articulated vertebral column, beautifully preserved fins and delicate fin rays, with three-dimensional bone preservation that gives the specimen outstanding depth and visual appeal. The rich copper-brown fossil contrasts beautifully with the natural grey matrix, making it a striking collector’s and display piece. Elegant Solid Marble Display Base The specimen is presented on an elegant, very heavy, solid natural marble base, featuring beautiful brown and cream veining. The substantial weight of the marble provides a luxurious presentation and a stable foundation for display. Photography and Lighting Please note: The photographs were taken using a photography light box, which enhances the fossil’s natural colours and details. Under ordinary natural daylight, the colours appear more subdued than in the photographs. However, warm LED lighting brings out the beautiful copper-brown tones and creates a visual effect similar to that shown in the pictures.
