Enigmatic Fold Over Error Note HONG KONG (SAR). Chartered Bank. 5 Dollars, ND (1975). P-73b. KNB48c. Printed Fold Error. PMG Choice Very Fine 35. A very unusual error where the first layers of the note were printed normally, and in between two different printing steps, the note was folded at the lower right corner so that part of the brown frame is printed on the reverse. The note was then opened up before allowing the serial numbers to be printed normally. Please bear in mind that fold over errors are usually white empty spaces and do not display any printing elements. The alternative would be that the serial numbers were printed before the brown frame, but the cataloguer thinks this is less likely, as supported by the existence of many error notes that are missing the serial numbers, dates, and signatures but otherwise have fully printed designs on both sides. If the first hypothesis is correct, then it would be an extraordinary coincidence for the two steps to take place to achieve this specific error. Excessive rare. Estimate: $1,000 - $1,500.

Estimation:€446.38
