Hollandse School (XX) - Levendig ruitertafereel bij herberg (17e-eeuwse stijl)

An imposing and atmospheric classic oil painting that immediately catches the eye. The canvas displays a lively scene of riders, horses (including a striking grey horse centrally in view), dogs, and resting figures by a sturdy wooden inn or barn. The work is clearly inspired by Dutch masters of the 17th century and is painted with great attention to detail, dynamism, and a classical color palette. On the reverse, the canvas is traditionally stretched on a wooden frame. A beautiful, large format that fits perfectly in a classic, modern, or eclectic interior! Condition: The canvas itself is in good condition for its age. The painting is framed in a heavy, richly decorated gold-toned ornamental frame. Please note: Along the side/top of the frame, there is local flaking/plaster. However, from the front this is barely visible. When the painting hangs on the wall, you won’t notice it and the overall appearance remains beautifully intact. Please examine the detail photos carefully for an honest view of the sides. The lot is sold in its current state and the frame is included. Shipping: Given the substantial dimensions (approx. 106 x 90 cm) and the fragility of the antique frame, the painting will be packed with the utmost care.
