In-4° on period full vellum. Text in Greek, comments in Latin. About a dozen leaves uniformly browned, a few [rss]. An old small red wax seal has been partly removed, leaving a tiny hole in the page. Overall a good copy. The first date of 1597. 12 p. preliminaries, 285 p., + 9 pp. of index (ctm-h2) Jan van Heurne is a Dutch physician; in Paris he followed the lessons of Duret and the famous Ramus (Pierre de la Ramée). He then visited Italy, where he met Capivaccio, Mercuriali, Guilandini and the famous Frabrizio d'Acquenpendente.
