Herman Brood (1946-2001) - SCORE

Herman Brood Acrylic on sail 140 x 250 cm With certificate. Shipping can be discussed after the auction and the painting can be viewed by appointment. In this work by Herman Brood, art and football come together in a lively composition. Against a bright blue background, four expressive figures appear, surrounded by footballs and the word 'SCORE'. Strong black lines, bold color accents and yellow paint splatters give the work motion and a playful character. With its impressive size of 140 × 250 cm, the work immediately draws attention. The loose lines and the direct way in which the faces are rendered align with the recognizable visual language of Brood. The work evokes the energy and the team spirit of the sport, with a quirky wink. The work is hand-signed and comes with a certificate from the Herman Brood Museum.
