Harvink - Jack Crebolder - Lounge chair - Leather

A Turner high-back lounge chair, also known as "Cobra," designed in 1982 by Jack Crebolder for Harvink, the Netherlands. The chair is upholstered in dark blue smooth leather and sits on a black metal base plate. It is not swiveling. The distinctive, tall backrest makes the Turner one of the best-known Dutch design pieces of the 1980s. Provenance: The original invoice from the Axmann furniture store in Berlin dated August 1, 1987 is available. It lists the chair as "Turner Hochlehnsessel, Leder Gr. 2 dunkelblau, Metallplatte schwarz" at the then price of 1,643 DM. There is no manufacturer label on the chair; the invoice documents the model and origin. Dimensions: Height 112 cm, Width 108 cm, Depth 82 cm, Seat height 42 cm.
