Harbeth - HL-P3ES-2 Speaker set

The Harbeth HL-P3ES-2 are historic passive hi-fi stand-mounted loudspeakers (mini-monitors), considered the direct spiritual and technological descendants of the legendary BBC LS3/5a monitors. Produced in the mid-2000s, they embody the Harbeth philosophy of a natural sound, optimizing performance in an extremely compact cabinet size (roughly the size of a shoebox). Sound Characteristics and Strengths Magic midrange: As is traditional with Harbeth, the reproduction of voices, acoustic instruments and midrange details is exceptional, transparent and free from artificial coloration. Three-Dimensional Stereo Imaging: Thanks to the narrow front and the well-damped sealed cabinet (SuperTunedStructure technology), the speakers virtually disappear in the room, creating a wide, stable and deep soundstage. Bass Handling: Despite the cabinet’s physical limits (deep bass below 70–75 Hz is attenuated), articulation and speed in the mid-bass range are exemplary. It does not exhibit the “boomy” bass effect typical of many other mini-reflex speakers. Ideal for Small Spaces: They perform best in near-field configurations (near-field listening), small offices, apartments or bedrooms, placed on heavy stands at ear height. Additionally, they have their own steel framework, as clearly visible in the tall photo at 69 cm. Given the significant weight of the steel structure, shipping is not included. Private arrangements can be made for shipping only the cabinets without the steel structure. The condition is excellent, with no marks, scratches or damage. They are like new.
