Happiness Is Something That You Share - andra Daans

Happiness Is Something That You Share by andra Daans Painting 13.7 x 19.6 :: Oil on Belgian linen This painting is part of a series of 15 paintings ""A Journey of Roots and Resilience"" It is a tribute to my father's life and legacy tracing his ancestry from Africa through the history of Suriname and ultimately to the Netherlands. Each piece captures a chapter in this story honoring his family’s resilience and the deep-rooted strength of his ancestors including his great-grandmother who was born into slavery. Vibrant oil colors and layered textures bring these stories to life symbolizing the courage joy and freedom that define his heritage. The medium of oil allows me to layer rich tones creating depth and an almost tactile quality to invite viewers into this journey. My hope is that each viewer feels the warmth pride and determination embedded within reflecting on both the beauty of heritage and the power of shared history. :: Type: Painting Medium: Oil Style: Expressionism Subject: Figures & Portraits Width: 13.7 Height: 19.6 Depth: 0.7 Weight: 8 lbs Framed: no :: All art on Zatista is original and signed.
