Gregor Schneider - Muschel Venedig - Der deutsche Beitrag Venice Shell

Nr. 1", datiert, betitelt, mit Ortsangabe und mit einer Widmung versehen; 100 x 62 x 13,5 cm. 2001 gewann Gregor Schneider für sein "Totes Haus u r Venedig" den Goldenen Löwen der Biennale. Er errichtete damals im deutschen Pavillon das "Tote Haus u r", mit 24 Räumen, deren Teile er von Mönchengladbach aus nach Venedig transportieren ließ und das "Haus u r" dort wieder rekonstruierte. Zur finanziellen Unterstützung dieses Großprojektes in Venedig schuf der Künstler diese Auflage aus 25 Unikaten, hier für einen befreundeten Kurator. In 2001, Gregor Schneider won the Golden Lion at the Biennale for his "Totes Haus u r Venedig". At the time, he erected the "Dead House u r" in the German pavilion, with 24 rooms, the parts of which he had transported from Mönchengladbach to Venice and reconstructed the "House u r" there. To financially support this major project in Venice, the artist created this edition out of 25 unique pieces, here for a curator friend.
