The kaolin powder mask, this deep black that traditionally covers the bodies of women during the ceremony. The mouth slightly lined, the cheekbones, the delicate scarifications on the temples, as well as the eye contours, are revealed by the padouk red. The diadem adorning the forehead, composed of nine scales, named magumbi, is an identity motif referencing the nine primordial clans of the mythical history of the Punu.
