Handmade 1:8/1:10 carriage/coach scaled model by craftsman G. Zappulla. Unique antique handcrafted piece of a carriage or coach (probably a barouche or miniature carriage) with a toy horse, often dating from the late 19th century, a vintage reproduction in wood and iron. Item Description Card • Item: Static collectible model of an antique carriage with pulling horse. • Author / Maker: Attributed to master carpenter Giovanni Zappulla (Siracusa), bearing signature/mark "G. Zappulla". • Type of Carriage: Faithful miniature reproduction of a noble barouche-type carriage from the 19th century (Victorian style). • Materials: • Frame, leaf-spring suspension and mechanical parts in metal/forged iron. • Rear convertible top in fabric/faux leather in a dark color with blue interior. • Sculpted horse with harness, bridles and traces complete. • Notable features: Differentially sized spoked wheels (front smaller, rear larger), functional forward steering system, artisanal care in the details of hubs and harnesses. • Condition: Excellent overall vintage condition.
