Any certificates or expert reports are provided when explicitly indicated in the description or can be requested before the offer, agreeing on availability, content and possible costs. PREPARATION, SHIPMENT AND DELIVERY Each item is inspected, cleaned or sanitized in ways compatible with the materials and its preservation, then carefully packaged. Shipping is tracked and insured according to the service terms used. Items may be stored in different warehouses: expect approximately 7–10 days for delivery, unless otherwise indicated in the order, for special destinations or customs times. Shipment will occur within the terms set by Catawiki and communicated for the order; the estimated delivery time does not constitute an extension of the shipping deadline. Upon receipt, check the packaging. If there are dents, cuts, openings or breaks, ask the courier to note a specific reservation, when possible. We recommend photographing the package before and after opening and keeping the packaging, protective materials and label to facilitate any insurance checks. The absence of a reservation, photos or packaging does not automatically negate the consumer’s non-derogable rights. In consumer sales, transport risk is governed by Article 63 of the Consumer Code. SUPPORT AND REPORTING For any clarification or issue, contact us via the Catawiki order messaging, indicating the lot number and describing what you found. In case of damage, item not in conformity with the description or missing content, promptly report the issue also to Catawiki support, preferably immediately and in any case within the 3 days provided by the platform procedure, so as to enable the complaint process and possible suspension of payment. This operational term does not entail forfeiture of the right of withdrawal or the legal warranty under applicable terms. CONSUMER WITHDRAWAL When the buyer is acting as a consumer and legal requirements are met, they may exercise the right of withdrawal without justification within 14 days of receipt of the goods, pursuant to Articles 52 et seq. of Legislative Decree 206/2005, subject to exceptions under the law. The decision must be communicated by explicit statement to the seller, also using the Catawiki procedure. The goods must be returned within 14 days of the withdrawal notification. For mere reconsideration, the direct cost of return is borne by the buyer, unless otherwise agreed. Amounts legally due will be refunded, including standard initial delivery costs; higher costs for a more expensive delivery chosen by the buyer are not due. The refund is issued without undue delay and within the legal terms, with the possibility of withholding it until receipt of the goods or proof of return, according to the conditions provided by law. Sums collected directly by Catawiki are managed through the platform according to their respective competences, subject to non-derogable rights. The buyer is responsible for any decrease in value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to verify the nature, characteristics and functioning of the item, within legal limits. LEGAL WARRANTY AND CONFORMITY DEFECTS In consumer sales the legal conformity warranty applies as provided by Articles 128 et seq. of the Consumer Code, even for used goods, taking into account prior use and contractually stated characteristics. The ordinary duration of liability is two years from delivery. For used goods, any reduction, not less than one year, applies only if validly agreed and permitted by the applicable rules. In the presence of a conformity defect, the consumer is entitled to the remedies provided by law: repair or replacement, where feasible, or a reduction of price or contract termination when the conditions apply. Our business preference is to resolve genuine disputes by returning the item and issuing a full refund where appropriate, rather than negotiating informal discounts. This preference does not exclude mandatory remedies, including price reduction. When return is due to a defect attributable to the seller, the necessary expenses are borne by us in accordance with the law. Expenses for other cancellation scenarios are determined by the cause of cancellation and applicable provisions. RETURNS, REPAIRS AND INTEGRITY OF THE ITEM Before performing repairs, restorations, adjustments or interventions by third parties, contact us to allow problem verification and agreement on the solution. Unauthorized interventions may alter the original state, affect assessments and impact liability for damages or defects caused by them. Automatic refunds for third-party interventions are not provided. The buyer’s non-derogable rights remain: an unauthorized intervention does not by itself automatically result in loss of protections for defects independent of the intervention. The returned item must include accessories and documents received and be protected with proper packaging. Please include the order reference and, if available, a copy of the sale document. The original receipt is not the only admissible proof of purchase. EXTRA-EU SHIPMENTS AND CUSTOMS REQUIREMENTS For destinations outside the European Union, including the United Kingdom, Switzerland, China, Taiwan, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates, duties, taxes and customs clearance fees may apply according to the destination and order terms. Amounts already collected by the platform should not be automatically considered due twice. When required, fiscal or identifying information may be requested for customs clearance. A passport number will be requested only if actually necessary under applicable rules or the carrier’s or competent authority’s documented instructions. We invite buyers to verify import restrictions in advance. For items subject to special regulations, including CITES or cultural property rules, shipping remains subject to the legal possibility of export and import and to the necessary documents. CUSTOMER IDENTIFICATION AND DATA PROTECTION In the case of distance sale of valuables subject to identification obligations, a valid identity document is required and remote identification is performed according to the modalities provided by the applicable law. If indispensable information is missing to fulfill a legal obligation, the transaction cannot be completed until rectified. Any cancellation and refund will be handled with Catawiki according to applicable law and conditions, without automatic exclusion of responsibility.
