Pietro Marchetti (often listed on title pages as Pietro Marchetti For. in Siena) was an important Italian bookseller, publisher and prints dealer, active in Siena in the first half of the 17th century. Pietro Marchetti lived from the late 16th to the first half of the 17th century. He operated in Siena, then part of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany, a cultural center that, although no longer independent, maintained a lively artistic, artisanal and academic tradition (linked particularly to the University and the Academy of the Rozzi).
