Toutes les enchères / Cartes Postales & Philatélie / Germany - Landscape
Fascinating collection comprising 31 pieces in total, of which 29 art postcards (Künstlerpostkarten) dating to the "Golden Age" of the postcard (early 20th century, roughly 1902–1920) and 2 splendid vintage botanical plates/illustrations depicting fruits (cherries and hazelnuts). The postcards reproduce precious early-century artworks: bucolic natural landscapes, evocative flowering heathlands, lake views, rural scenes with thatched-roof houses, splendid still lifes, and iconic views of Venice with gondolas. Technical Details and Features: Total quantity: 31 pieces. Historical period: Early 20th century (Belle Époque / Golden Age of postcards). Publishers/Brands: Presence of renowned art publishers from Central Europe following the Leipzig and Dresden school. Several copies feature on the back the sought-after typographic mark with the circled "S" (Schöning & Co.). Back features: Divided-back layout, typical of the period after 1902. Condition: Excellent / Near Mint (Unused / Not circulated). The vast majority of pieces are in fresh, intact condition. The backs are clean, free of handwriting, messages, stamps or postmarks. No tears, heavy creases, or signs of mounting from an old album are observed. An ideal lot for inclusion in a thematic collection or for individual resale. Please carefully review the rich photo gallery (front and back of each piece), which is an integral part of the description to verify the exact condition of the edges and corners.
